Account Information

When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you subscribe to a paid plan or purchase credits, payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe -- we do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

Usage Data

We collect information about your use of the Service, including keywords searched, countries selected, check history, and credit usage. This data is used to provide the Service and improve your experience.

Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs. We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and preferences.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process transactions and manage your account
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, service updates)

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Keyword check history is retained for your reference. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, but this may prevent you from using certain features of the Service.

11. AI Assistants & MCP Connector

Sextaris offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector (at mcp.sextaris.com) that lets you use the Service from third-party AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor. Using the connector is entirely optional.

When you connect an AI assistant:

• Authorization. For ChatGPT, you sign in to your Sextaris account and approve access through OAuth 2.1. ChatGPT receives a revocable OAuth credential bound to your Sextaris account and the Sextaris MCP resource; it does not receive your Sextaris API key. Other MCP clients may use a separate API-key method if you choose to configure it.
• What is shared with the AI provider. The keywords, locations, and other inputs you send to the assistant — and the results it returns — are processed by that assistant's provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) under their own privacy policies. We do not control how those providers handle data exchanged inside their products.
• What we receive. When the assistant invokes a Sextaris tool, our MCP server receives the tool name and the inputs needed for that call, validates the OAuth credential, maps it to your Sextaris account, and calls the Sextaris API on your behalf. It returns the result to the assistant, and metered tools deduct credits from your Sextaris account. We do not receive the rest of your AI conversation.
• Connector records. The connector stores the OAuth client, token, and account-binding records needed to authorize and revoke requests. It does not store your full AI conversations.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
